Each one of the recipes is unique and offers up quite a distinctive flavor. There’s a recipe for Italian herb salt, chili lime salt, and Texas salt.

These recipes are especially fun to make around any time of the year, so you can definitely stock up. My kids love spending time in the kitchen with me preparing all kinds of easy to follow recipes like this one. And the best part is?

All three of these salt recipes are incredibly easy to make! You can have them all ready to go in about 30 minutes or less.

How to Make Seasoned Salt – Chili Lime, Italian Herb and Texas Salt

Ingredients

Italian Herb:

½ cup salt

1 cup fresh rosemary 

½ cup fresh sage 

½ cup fresh thyme 

2 garlic cloves

Chili Lime:

½ cup  salt

1 tbsp chili flakes

2 limes, zested

Texas:

1 tsp cayenne pepper

1 tsp ground cumin

2 tbsp paprika

2 tbsp garlic powder

2 tbsp onion powder

2 tbsp kosher salt

1 tbsp dried oregano

1 tbsp black pepper

Instructions

Italian Herb:

Wash and pat dry the herbs. 

Mince the herbs and set aside. 

Preheat oven to 170°F.

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. 

In a bowl combine the salt, herbs and garlic. 

Spread the salt on the prepared baking sheet. 

Dry the salt in the oven for 30-35 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely.  

Use a spoon to break up any large clumps. 

Transfer into a jar.

Chili Lime:

Preheat oven to 170°F.

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. 

In a bowl combine the salt, lime zest and chili flakes.  

Spread the salt on the prepared baking sheet. 

Dry the salt in the oven for 30-35 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely.  

Use a spoon to break up any large clumps. 

Transfer into a jar.

Texas:

Add all the ingredients to a bowl and mix to combine.  

Transfer into a jar.
