Instant Pot Rice Pudding

Melt In Your Mouth Instant Pot Rice Pudding (YUM!)

2 tbsp butter

3⁄4 cup long-grain white rice

3 1/4 cup milk

3⁄4 cup granulated sugar

1 tsp ground cinnamon

1 tsp vanilla extract



  1. Rinse the rice and drain well.
  2. Press the SAUTE button on the Instant pot and let stand until screen reads “HOT”.
  3. Add the butter.
  4. Add the rice and stir to coat.
  5. Press the CANCEL button.
  6. Add the milk, sugar, cinnamon, vanilla extract and pinch of salt.
  7. Stir to combine.
  8. Close and seal the Instant pot.
  9. Turn the venting knob to SEALING.
  10. Press the PORRIDGE button.
  11. Adjust the timer to 20 minutes.
  12. When finished cooking, let the pressure come down naturally.
  13. Open the lid.
  14. Stir well until fully combined and creamy.
  15. Serve warm or cold.
