Homemade Instant Pot Cinnamon Applesauce with No Added Sugar

Ingredients

4 large Honeycrisp apples, peeled, cored and roughly chopped

4 large Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored and roughly chopped

2 tsp fresh lemon juice

½ tsp ground cinnamon

1 cup water

Instructions

  1. Place all the ingredient in the Instant pot.
  2. Stir to combine.
  3. Close and seal the Instant pot.
  4. Turn the venting knob to SEALING.
  5. Press the PRESSURE COOK button and check to make sure the pressure level shows as “High” on the display.
  6. Adjust the timer to 4 minutes.
  7. When finished cooking, let the pressure come down naturally for 10 minutes, then quick release the rest of the pressure.
  8. Open the lid.
  9. Mash the mixture with a potato masher.
  10. Serve immediately or transfer to an airtight container and store in the refrigerator for up to a week.
