I use it for cooking, I use it as a pseudo mouthwash by oil pulling, and I also use it for a variety of cosmetic applications, like moisturizing my skin and hair. Today I’m actually going to be sharing a recipe for my favorite coconut oil sugar scrub that I love to use any time of the year.
The good news is that this is one incredibly easy recipe to prepare. You’ll only need three simple ingredients to make it: three tablespoons of coconut oil of course, along with ¾ cup of white sugar and approximately 20 drops of sweet orange essential oil.
Simply mix these three ingredients together and then keep your sugar scrub mixture sealed up in a jar or container with a lid until you’re ready to use it.
How to Make Soothing Homemade Coconut Oil Sugar Scrub
Ingredients
- ¾ cup white sugar
- 3 tbsp coconut oil
- 20 drops sweet orange essential oil
Instructions
- Add the white sugar, coconut oil and sweet orange essential oil to a small bowl and mix to combine.
- Store in a jar or container with a lid.
- Apply with your hands, working in circular motions.
- Rinse with warm water.
