2-Minute Banana Mug Cake (Yum!)

2 tbsp butter, melted

½ medium banana, mashed

1 egg

2 tbsp brown sugar

¼ tsp vanilla extract (optional)

3 tablespoons all-purpose flour

¼ tsp baking powder

pinch of ground cinnamon (optional)

1 tbsp chopped walnuts or pecans


  1. In a 12 fl oz microwave-safe mug place the butter, mashed banana, egg, brown sugar and vanilla extract (if using) and mix to combine.
  2. Add the all purpose flour, baking powder and pinch of ground cinnamon (if using) and mix until well combined.
  3. Fold in chopped walnuts.
  4. Microwave on high for 60-90 seconds or until just firm to touch and toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
